RMNP XVI

All of these photos are on the west side of the Park. Lots more snow than the east side. All are of the Never Summer Range. Top one is Mt. Baker, the dominant peak from this area. Towards the bottom right corner of the top photo you can see a line running across the mountain. This is the Grand Ditch, established for capturing the snowmelt in the early 20th century. Still in use.

RMNP XV

It was a beautiful morning in the park. Sunny, no wind, no people. Not much snow. Around noon it started getting overcast, the wind came up and it got cold, so I didn't stay around much longer.

Top photo is Mt. Meeker and Long's Peak just after sunrise (from Loveland). Second photo is elk in Moraine Park. Third photo is Big Thompson River. The ice has melted in one area and you can clearly see the rocks on the bottom. Last photo is Mill Creek.
